We're living in a world that is more connected than ever, but time and time again, we hear it – people feel disconnected from what truly matters – from the brands they want to care about, from each other, and from the experiences they want to have.

Beyond the hype of social media, there is a simple truth unites every one of us – we all want to live good lives. We want to actually experience the things we are constantly "♥"ing on Instagram. We want to be the ones in the profile pictures, not just the ones liking them. We want to live those lives.

That's why we created Chasecamp.

Let's tap into what people are really craving from life,  
creating a space where people are out of their comfort zones, connecting with strangers in profound ways,
and experiencing what it means to Make It Count.

The Formula

It all starts with a bold call to adventure:
to engage in a series of events that no one expects.

Each event is a mystery and unique in it's own way.
The process is by nomination only. 
Tens of thousands will apply. Hundreds will go.
 A designed experience that moves people:
The unknown, sunrise summits, stoke, live music, lake-side campsites, challenges, good food, campfires, deep chats and new best friends.
Oh, and content so good it inspires long beyond the circles that went.

The Goal

To Inspire thousands across the country to get out and get after life.
To lower the barriers for people to experience the outdoors.
To provide hundreds of people a groundbreaking experience in #MakingItCount.
To create content so good that narrative inspires people well-beyond all the applicants.
To tie everyone back together with ongoing ways to engage with us (brands), and together as a growing community.

The "Why"

  • To bring a diverse set of Canadians together, under our shared values, for an experience with depth and real impact.
  • To strengthen or ignite both of our communities in these areas.
  • To create content so good it will spread both of our messages well beyond these events.
  • To show as many people as possible that living life doesn't have to be extravagant.
  • To show the larger community how the barriers to getting out can be lowered.
 
 

The "What"

  • #Chasecamp is a free experience for a diverse set of Canadians, selected by an application process.    
  • 50-200+ strangers for each event, 3 days, 1 campground, 0 maybes.
  • The weekend-long summer camp people really want: genuine connection, incredible places, and unique experiences they can't get anywhere else.

Collaboration

On the front end, this is a fun experience that people can't get anywhere else. On the back end it's a high-trust environment where people and brands come together and bring their best to the table to make each other's lives better.

While this will be a team effort in so many ways, Chasing Sunrise will take care of the heavy lifting, the pre-and-post-event promotional strategy + execution, access to our community, and then working together to create sustainable communities in each location.

Bring It To Life:

Bringing #Chasecamp to life will require a group of partners working together to cover funding, contribute resources / remove barriers, and build a badass team.

 

Resources

If we can pull other brands in, to help bring what they do best to the table, it will both amplify the experience for us all, and remove barriers to successful execution. Things like food, park permits, camping fees, buses, camping supplies etc. We will do our absolute best to bring in as many brands as friends to lighten the load - if we all do the same it would make a huge difference on impact.

Funding

While there will be some costs that can be reduced or fully covered by partner contributions and in-kind support, there are also hard costs that require funding. We will be doing our absolute best to get as many resources as we can covered, and would like to have the same

A-Team

For each event we estimate we will need 5-7 staff onsite as well as 5+ volunteers. Chasing Sunrise can bring several of our team members (3-5) pending funding. We will require 2+ staff from our partners as well.
Volunteers are also necessary and can come from either of our communities and pending resources, it's always nice to have more than less from our communities as it helps set and sustain the tone for the weekend.
